AvaTrade Code 128979: What Actually Happens When You Use It
People message me about partner codes all the time. Same question every time: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code won't affect it.
Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. Nothing more complicated than that.
How much do you get?
A $1,000 deposit gets you $200.
$2,000 adds $400.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. That's for serious capital.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Top tier reaches £11,200.
Account minimum is $100. Minimum for any bonus is $1,000.
The code field isn't obvious
Registration page. Once you've filled in your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click it. The field expands. Type **128979**.
Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.
If you see an error, it's fine. Finish signing up. Message your account manager before you deposit. Ask them to add code 128979. They do this manually all the time.
You can't withdraw the bonus straight away
There's a volume requirement.
Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.
Something useful to understand: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. Newer traders benefit from that extra cushion.
